February Liturgical Theme:
LETTING GOD'S WORD REDESIGN OUR LIFE
Becoming '' Sisters of the Word'', according to priority Proposal # 1 of the Continental project for redesigning our Presences in Asia- Ociana, does not simply mean becoming knowledgeable and articulate about Sacred Sciptures. First and foremost it means surrending ourselves and our lives to God's initiative redesign us through his Word. It means taking the stance of Mary at the Annunciation and pronouncing together with her: "Let it be done unto me according to your Word". For the work of tranformation is truly God's initiative and God's project. We can only cooperate and participate by turning over our lives and allowing God's Word to mold us and re-create us according to his loving design. So, as we hear the Word of God daily in the Eucharist, in our dealing with one another and through the liturgists' initiative to provide us with Scriptural quotations to orient our day, let us recognize the spirit's invitation to each one of us to assume once again the attitude of Mary who "keep all things and pondered them in her heart."
May we be so imbued by God's Word that we exude it and spread its fragrance by our very presence!
Daily prayer
I bless you, Jesus, for the great mercy granted to St. Paul in changing him from a bold persecutor to an ardent apostle of the Church. And you, great saint, obtain for me a heart docile to grace, conversion from my principle defect and total configuration with Jesus Christ. Amen.

One of the highlights of this event is the launching of the book: A to Z: Guide To Looking at the Media, a Media Literacy book written by Sr. Clothilde de las Llagas, FSP on September 18, 2009.
The book presents how Media consumers can put into proper perspective the use of words that are commonly used in the Media world but either overused or simply misused. It tries to focus on the deeper understanding of such words in the context of the medium proper to it. The book is a primer on how to develop critical thinking skills.
Sr. Bernardita Dianzon, FSP received the Loyalty Awards on behalf of the Daughters of St. Paul who have been participating in the Manila International Bookfair for the past 18 years. The event was attended by local and international booksellers, publishers, writers and readers.
