PICA receives CMMA Serviam Award

The Paulines Institute of Communication in Asia [PICA] Foundation, Inc., was presented the SERVIAM AWARD on October 12, 2016 at the Star Theater. PICA was recognized for providing priests, nuns, pastoral workers and lay people access to courses in Media Literacy, and for spearheading projects that aim to educate the youth and the less fortunate.

Present during the Awards night were, Sisters Noemi Vinoya, Lorena Briones, Ann Marie Nemenzo and Clothilde de las Llagas while the Directress of PICA, Sr. Consolata Manding, received the trophy from the presentors.

The keynote address was given by His Eminence Luis Antonio G. Cardinal Tagle, Archbishop of Manila and CMMA honorary chairman.

On the whole, the 38th Catholic Mass Media Awards paid tribute to fifty-nine outstanding communicators, both individuals and institutions and accorded special citations to twenty-three other groups who use the media creatively in promoting Christian values.
