A five-consecutive Saturdays modular course on the study of semiotics and other tools of analysis and its application in reading the different forms of advertising texts; concepts and principles of advertising practices; ethics in advertising – all as background for analysis and evaluation from the moral and Christian perspectives. Distance education is offered but students are required to attend class on the first and fifth Saturday. This is one of the sixteen modules offered by PICA in its MA program on Media Literacy Education.
