A five-consecutive Saturdays modular course on the study of the language of film and its application in reading movie as media text from the director’s and viewer’s perspectives; functional knowledge of film production, an overview of movie industry; all as background for analysis and evaluation of different film genre based on moral and Gospel values. Distance education is offered but students are required to attend class on the first and fifth Saturday. This is one of the sixteen modules offered by PICA in its MA program on Media Literacy Education.
