Srs. Federica Dalaguit and Rosalie Lojiu gave a retreat to 115 seminarians, upon the invitation of Fr. Stenley, MSC of the Diocesan Minor Seminary in Kakaskasen, Tomohon City, an hour drive from Manado, on December 13-16, 2009. The seminarians were divided into 2 groups ; first and second year with Sr. Rosalie, the third and fourth year with Sr. Federica.
The topic explored is: “Me, my Community and the Eucharist” which pointed out the role of every person and the community in the celebration of the Eucharist. The chart on the “Eucharist as a Banquet and a Sacrifice helped deepen their understanding on the social dimension of the Eucharist.”
The salient points were presented in powerpoint: some in English and some in Bahasa Indonesia with a spontaneous explanation in Bahasa Indonesia. Sr. Rica spoke in a very slow manner, so that the seminarians can really understand what she was driving at. She introduced group dynamics for the youth and showed two (2) films which helped deepen the topic.
The comments at the end of the retreat were positive. It was first time the seminarians heard an English / Indonesian retreat and they liked it.
