Six (6) young discerners attended the Vocations’ Lenten Retreat organized by the Daughters of St. Paul in FSP-Pasay convent last March 25, 2011. With the theme: Hearts’ Desire, Sr. Aida Adriano, the speaker pointed out that man has psycho-social needs and we have to transcend to these needs to follow God’s desire for us. She challenged every participant to observe Lent through prayer, fasting and works of mercy and reflect the meaning of Jesus’ passion, death and resurrection.
During the sharing, they had an opportunity to express their hearts’ desire, dreams, fears and hope in the future. Most of them realized their place and purpose in life. The group viewed the film Paul the Apostle, which shows St. Paul’s commitment to preach the Gospel till the end. They appreciated the life of St. Paul and felt the need to know more about his life by reading his letters. The participants expressed their gratitude and thanksgiving for a fruitful retreat.
