1st ONGOING FORMATION SEMINAR by Asia-Pacific Coordination Team

 

Twenty-two Sisters  (5 Koreans, 3 Japanese, 2 Pakistani, 11 Filipina) participated in the first Seminar on Ongoing formation  organized by the Asia-Pacific Coordination Team, held in Manila, Philippines, last July  24-August 15, 2011.  The topics taken up were: Donec Formetur (retreat),   The Pauline Community: a witness and prophetic presence,  The Pauline Book Center: a new pulpit for evangelization in today’s culture,  and Media Literacy.  The  APCT staff (Sr. Anne Plathara, Sr. Teresina Kim, and Sr. Evangelina Canag), Sr. Consolata Manding and Sr. Clothilde de las Llagas, formed the roster of speakers.  English was the official language but the Korean Sisters had with them an interpreter.  Besides deepening on the Pauline charism through listening to input, the participants enjoyed  an enriching experience of interculturality and universality of the Pauline charis
