Daughters of Saint Paul

Dinner for a Cause

Friends and benefactors of the Daughters of St. Paul came to support the dinner hosted by the Sisters on April 13 and 20, 2013 at Alberione Auditorium of the sisters convent in Pasay City.

The audience was treated to an evening of music and performance by retired Brig. Gen. Felix Brawner and wife Dr. Rita Brawner with their old-time favorite kundiman. The guests were captivated by the Yapchulay family: Jamilie Ann (violin ), brother Joalie Joseph (flute ), and their father (keyboard) to the tune of classic and contemporary hits. Siblings Carl and Jill Bognot performed the cap song and other current hits that delighted the audience. The Choir of Caloocan Diocese with their trainor, Elsie Eranista and Seminarians Amiel Ilandag and Anthony John Javier wowed the listeners with their music that touched the minds and hearts of both the young and not so young. The young sisters in formation presented a dance number and the evening concluded with a chorus from the Sisters who rendered an Italian and English songs.

The dinner for a cause is one of the activities to raise funds for the “Biblia sa Bawat Pamilya,” project of disseminating 75,000 Bibles to the poor who want to read the Word of God. This is the sisters’ way of thanking the Lord for the gift of the 75th foundation anniversary of the Daughters of St Paul in the Philippines on October 13, 2013.
