The Daughters of St. Paul in the Philippine-Malaysian-Papua New Guinean-Thai province began the celebration of their 100th year foundation on February 5, 2015. The Eucharist was presided by Fr. Mario Sobrejuanite, SSP, with other Pauline priests concelebrating and in the presence of the Pauline Family members , friends and Paulines lay mission partners at the Queen of Apostles Sanctuary in Pasay.
Fr. Mario said that looking at the Daughters of St. Paul present in so many countries throughout the world where they continue to serve, it is but right to give thanks to the Lord for the marvelous deeds he has accomplished through them. He thanked the FSPs for adding their particular feminine touch to the mission of evangelization with the media of social communications and concluded his homily with the words of Pope Francis:
“Look back to the past with gratitude; live the present with passion; look forward to the future with confidence. Your God is with you.”
Sr. Noemi Vinoya, provincial superior, acknowledged the “wise, faithful and heroic contributions of many sisters and thanked them for “their faith, courage, constant prayers, apostolic dedication and total response to the charism in all its dimensions.
She especially thanked the brothers and sisters in the Pauline Family “with whom we have shared labor, joys, help and projects on all levels.”
