The Daughters of Paul helped the parishioners of Mary, Queen of Apostles Parish in Sucat, Parañaque prepare for Holy Week and Easter through a series of recollections. The parish priest, Fr. Giovanni Sandalo, who is a regular client of the Paulines Media Center in Pasay, invited Sr. Linda Escoto to animate his flock for Lent.
Following the theme, Journeying towards Easter, a Sister gave a talk on each of the Fridays of Lent. The speakers were: Sr. Ann Marie Nemenzo,Sr. Mennen Alarcon, Sr. Amelyne Paglinawan, Sr. Consolata Manding, Sr. Rose Agtarap, and Sr. Lina Salazar. Sr. Yolanda Dionisio gave the reflections to a packed audience from Holy Monday to Holy Wednesday .
In the past, the parish always invited priests to give the Friday recollections in Lent. This was the first time that they invited sisters and expressed their gratitude for the availability, expertise and depth of the Daughters of St. Paul speakers.
At each presentation, a group of sisters also made available a small book exhibit where the participants, of more than 200 every Friday, were able to get books and materials to help them in their Lenten journey.
