NAGA: 100 Years of FSP Foundation Celebrated

The Daughters of St. Paul in Naga City celebrated its 100thFoundation Anniversary on June 15, 2015 at the Basilica Minore of Our Lady of Penafrancia. Most Reverend Rolando J. Tria, Tirona, OCD, DD, Archbishop of Caceres was the main celebrant of the Eucharistic Celebration and with him were 11 priests from the Archdiocese of Caceres and Daet.

The Archbishop expressed his gratitude for our presence and services in Caceres. He also shared his vocation story which started from a book of the Gospels given him to him by a Daughter of St. Paul in Baguio City. He said that when he opened the book he read the Parable of the Sower and a question stirred his heart: “What kind of soil is he now that the word of God falls on him.” Since then he frequented going to Church and eventually his search led to the seminary.

The centenary celebration was attended by representatives of different religious congregations, members of the Pauline Family (Pauline Cooperators, Institute of Our Lady of the Annunciation, Society of St. Paul), friends, benefactors, family members and relatives. Lunch was served at the Basilica Hall after the celebration.
