SARIAYA,Quezon: Bible Mission

The diffusers of the Daughters of St. Paul in Lipa and in Pasay had a two-day Bible mission in Niña Maria Parish in Sariaya, Quezon on August 29-30, 2015. There are 20 Basic Ecclesial Communities or Munting Sambayanang Kristiyano (MSK) in the parish.  The Sisters were able to visit 16 of these MSK as they divided themselves into four groups.

They gave an introduction to the Bible and had a Bible sharing with the participants. The parishioners were very happy to welcome the Sisters to their communities and to have their own Bible. For some of them, this occasion was the first time to experience having Sisters in their midst, talking with them and listening to them in a very personal way. They were able to share their pains and problems to the others members of the MSK and to the Sisters which somehow lightened their burden.

This Bible mission enriched the Sisters and the novices as they listened to the faith sharing of the people. They too, learned so much from the sharing of people and they were touched by their faith and trust in God.

Fr. Rafael Tolentino, the parish priest, was very welcoming and accommodating. He mobilized his MSK leaders to gather the people in their respective chapels so that they can participate in the Bible mission.
