PASAY: Superiors Seminar/Workshop

Assertiveness is the key word in this year’s superior’s seminar-workshop with the theme “Called to Serve in a spirit of communion, joy and hope,” held at Daughters of St. Paul compound in Pasay City on October 12-16, 2015.

The superiors from the different FSP branch houses gathered together to refresh and ascertain their communication techniques. They did several activities to reinforce the inputs given by Sr. Melba Grace Lobaton, FSP on this topic. The superior’s creativity and talent in acting also came out from the different group presentations.

Listening is the next most important word in the seminar. Without it, no genuine communication can actually happen. People are hurt, disappointed and feel rejected when they sense that they are not being listened to. Hence this is a skill that every superior should try to develop and possess.

After the two and a half-day of inputs and workshop, the superiors and the provincial government took up pertinent matters pertaining to the Pauline life and apostolate.

The seminar/workshop concluded with rest and recreation in Olongapo City which refreshed them all. They went back to their respective communities energized and revitalized for another fruitful year of loving and joyful service.
