Advent Recollection for Lay Mission Partners

 On December 11, 2010, the Paulines Lay Mission Partners had their annual Advent Recollection with the theme: “The Holy Family: Model of Every Family.” Since majority of the PLMPs are not yet married, Fr. Jess Gozun, SSP, the guest speaker, modified the theme into: “The Holy Family: the Dream of Every Family.” He said that the Holy Family is the image of a loving relationship between God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. God could have chosen to be born in any way He wanted to, but He chose to be born in a family, a poor family. He said: “This is so because God knows that the most effective way of teaching is through a life of witnessing. Our sense of right and wrong, our sense of morality, depends on the kind of families we have so let us strive to pattern our families to the Holy Family of Nazareth.
