The Daughters of St. Paul in celebrating its 75th anniversary of foundation in the Philippines organized Paulines Telefest 2013 to encourage local scriptwriters and directors to come up with wholesome “telenovelas” which can uplift the moral standards of the Filipino people. The survey was done using new media, social media, online polls, texting or SMS and interviews.
The awarding ceremony was held at the Alberione Auditorium, Daughters of St. Paul, Pasay City last October 13, 2013.
The event was graced by the Keynote Speaker, Atty. Eugenio H. Villareal, MTRCB Chair. In His message he challenged more writers, producers to continue to offer the Filipino people with sensible and best values- based movies/telenovelas.

Sr. Noemi Vinoya, FSP, Provincial Superior of the Daughters of St. Paul, bestowed the Paulines Commendation Awards to TV-5 (Cassandra: Warrior Angel), GMA 7 Anna Karenina and ABS-CBN (Annaliza). She was assisted by Sr. Clothilde de Las Llagas, in charge of Mobile Media Literacy program of FSP’s Paulines Institute of Communication in Asia (PICA).
Mrs. Norma Unas, representing the Parents & Teachers group read the premise of choosing Be Careful of My Heart.The Jury’s Choice Award was given by Atty. Villareal to ABS-CBN (Be Careful With My Heart). She was assisted by Sr. Shalimar Rubia, FSP, General Councilor of the Daughters of St. Paul.
Prior to Jury’s Choice Award,
Sr. Consolata Manding, FSP, Directress of Paulines Communication Institue in Asia, who gave the Closing Remarks, said that this event is our first initiative, as Daughters of St. Paul, to formally and publicly recognize the valuable contribution of telivision programs, particularly drama, as one among the favorite TV programs of our people. She also made it clear to the audience, the nature in choosing the winners. She also posed a challenge to become aware of our great responsibility towards the TV viewers. She said that it is a mission that we Christians and Catholics are called to do.
The event ended with a Choral Rendetion of the Paulines Choir with Ms. Elsie Eranista, Madrigal Singer and Choir Trainor, conducting.
Sr. Clothilde de las Llagas also acknowledged the valuable support of many people who helped us realize this significant initiative possible especially the Sponsors.
