This year’s Paulines LMPs’ lenten recollection was a special one because they are joined by lay volunteers from the Friendly Youth. It was held last March 28, 2010, Passion Sunday, at the Alberione Auditorium. The theme, “Ipinagbubunyi Kita Panginoon, Sapagkat Iniligtas Mo Ako” was discussed by Fr. Jess Gozun, SSP. He said that there is reason for us to rejoice in spite of our difficulties, problems, and natural calamities because Jesus’ life did not stop in his passion and death on the cross. With the resurrection of Jesus, God gave us hope because his resurrection is the triumph of good versus evil, obedience versus disobedience, and the triumph of God versus sin. After Easter, we look forward to Pentecost because it is during this time that God, once again, breathes life on us through the Holy Spirit, and the life we now live is a life of celebration, a life of love just like that of the apostle Paul.
After the talk, the participants commemorated Jesus’ way of the cross with each station positioned at different apostolic places and sectors. In the afternoon, the rite of Reconciliation was celebrated, and the administration of the Sacrament of Confession followed. This activity ended the whole day of recollection.
