Sisters in Initial Formation Join Summer Mission

To strengthen and promote the spirit of collaboration, the members of the initial formation which composed of the Juniors, Novices, Postulants and Pre-postulants joined this years summer mission which was held in San Roque Parish, Lamao, Limay, Bataan last April 8-26, 2010.

This year’s mission focused on the theme: “Katapatan ni Kristo, Katapatan ng Kristiyano” in line with the theme of the year for priests. In order to enhance the purpose of this theme, the mission team takes turn in giving Catechism to adults and children which centers more on the Eucharist. Bible enthronement, book displays and the usual home to home visitation were also conducted. The missionaries also took time to visit the Aeta (indigenous) community in Abucay, Bataan, they were happy and grateful to be given catechism and souvenirs from the Sisters.

The two weeks summer mission ended with a fruitful Family Day where Media Awareness Seminar was given. It ended with the burning rites of pornographic materials which was headed by the Parish Priest Fr. Alwin Bobis.

The said the event was actively participated by parents and youths in the Parish.

Pastoral involvement has been also made visible when two of the Sisters served as moderators during the Election Forum organized by the youths in the parish.

The young missionaries left the place with so much gratitude and consolations. They have a lot of stories to tell and joyful experiences to share which they said are beneficial to their formative journey.
