Pinoy Migrant Community in Rome

Here in Rome, I am doing an apostolate for the Filipino migrants. Last March 31, Easter Sunday, the Filipino Catholic Charismatic Communities in Rome gathered for a time of reflection and get-together. It was a session that lasted the whole night until dawn of the following day. The speakers were mostly priests from the seminary, two lay workers and I was the only religious sister. It was a meaningful night session where nobody slept, because there was prayer, singing, reflections, sharing and eating also. The participants of about 300 brought a lot of different Filipino foods.

My talk was about Jesus Master, the Way the Truth and the Life. This is very providential because the Pauline Charism course I am attending is on the same topic. I asked a group to perform a “skit” and after the skit, there was an analysis and the continuation of my talk.

I am grateful to God because through this apostolate, I was able to share Jesus to other communities who invited me after the talk. At the same time I was able to offer them some Italian books and the Tagalog/Italian Prayerbook (translated by Sr. Bernie Dianzon). As of now I have already a group whom I regularly visit for some Catechetical formation, every Sunday.

That’s all for today. Amen.
