Paulines Featured on TV

 

The Daughters of Saint Paul were featured in two episodes of the TV program Ang Pamilyang May K, OK on September 1 and 15, 2013. Entitled Paulines in Today’s World, it presented the Pauline vocation and mission as the Archdiocese of Palo celebrates its Jubilee month for the clergy. Ang Pamilyang May K, OK is a TV program produced by the Daughters of St Paul in Tacloban in cooperation with the Association of Pauline Cooperators.
It is a 45-minute weekly talk show which aims to:
– promote family values and life founded on the Word of God and Catholic Church teachings;
– highlight the prophetic voice of the Church on socio-cultural and environmental issues concerning families;
– support the Archdiocese of Palo in the information dissemination of the its pastoral programs.

The TV show is hosted by a member of the Association of Pauline Cooperators while the creative, production and post-production stages are handled by the Daughters of Saint Paul.Another program is An Binhi (The Seed), a 15 minute Gospel reflection every Sunday.  The clergy of the Archdiocese of Palo collaborate generously by sharing short but concise reflection on the Sunday Gospel. Sr. Gemma Ria Lourdes F. dela Cruz who is in-charge of Paulines radio and TV conceptualizes, coordinates, and directs all the concerns of these two TV programsNow on their 7th year, both programs are aired over six cable TV networks nationwide and one local TV channel which broadcasts to nearby provinces. In addition, An Binhi is posted on YouTube and embedded on the paulines.ph website. It is accessed by thousands of visitors, particularly Filipino overseas workers, who do not have the possibility of celebrating Sunday mass in their respective work assignments.  On the other hand, Ang Pamilyang May K , OK, has its Facebook account with the same title.
