The 36th Manila International Book Fair at the SMX Convention Center – Mall of Asia Complex commenced on September 16, 2016 with the celebration of the Holy Mass for all the exhibitors. Fr. John Klen Malificiar, SSP, president of the Asian Catholic Communicators, Inc. was the the main presider. Expounding on the Gospel message during his homily, he emphasized the value of listening to Jesus so as to make an appropriate response to Him. In analogy, he pointed out, all the exhibitors in the said Book Fair are enjoined to listen well to their clients, even incidentally knowing their life stories, because in this way they will be able to provide the service needed by their audience and offer the appropriate publications for them.
