Baguio community organizes Bible, Youth Animation

The community of Baguio, led by Sr. Grace Canda has organized a Bible and Youth animation with media display at the Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Kibungan, Benguet last December 8, 2019.

Sr. Maria Jose Lorilla gave the introduction to the Bible and guided the 46 participants on how to read the Bible and pray with it. She stressed on the importance of the Word of God in their daily life and in inculcating to young household members the hope and love of God. She encouraged participants to look at the Word of God as a source of guidance that could contribute positively to their faith formation.

Participants were given Ilokano Bibles, blessed by parish priest Rev. Fr. Vic Chua.

Meanwhile, Sr. Josephine Tablante guided the youth participants in their pursuit to organize themselves through the parish youth ministry. She gave some tips and tools on how to get started and move forward with their aspirations. Participants were very open in sharing some of their life experiences and dreams.

Several copies of Paulines publications were diffused through the Media display. The parishioners expressed their gratitude for having been visited by the Sisters which nourished them spiritually.

Members of the community, Srs. Grace Canda, Narcisa Moga and Kayla Ventura were deeply grateful for the presence of these two Sisters from Pasay who made themselves available to conduct the animation activities in the Our Lady of Lourdes Parish.– Sr. Maria Jose Lorilla, FSP
