23 attend Online Lenten Recollection for Young Ladies

The FSP Vocation Team organized an Online Lenten Recollection last March 21, 2021 with the theme: God honors those who serve him. Sr. Nina Lorilla FSP, the invited speaker, shared her thoughts and reflections on servanthood with the two characteristics of a God-centered motivation.

There were 36 registered participants and other regular attendees of our online activities who confirmed but did not register and wanted to join. Only 23 young ladies were able to join us including six Malaysians. The rest could not because they failed to connect with us due to poor internet connections.

It was a wonderful experience for all of us especially for the participants. Although it was virtual they were able to make silent reflection and feel God’s love and forgiveness especially during the penitential service. They also expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to have the one-on-one conversation with some of our sisters and be able to meet new friends through the group sharing.

The team would like to thank Srs. Susan Penaflor, Rose Agtarap and Laura Anggie who generously gave their time to listen and respond to the request of some participants to speak with a Sister; to Srs. Aemy Soo and Roseling Siaw for facilitating the group sharing of the Malaysian participants; to Srs. Lourdes Ranara, Lourdes Cabuguas, Ma. Antonieta Molina and Mary Jane Alibo for guiding the Filipina participants in the group sharing; and to Sr. Rhodora Alarcon for facilitating the two sessions of the Lenten Recollection.

The activity was done through zoom in collaboration with Paulines Institute of Communication in Asia (PICA).   – Sr. Mary Jane Alibo FSP
